4th Mayor’s cup. triathlon.

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

today i woke up at 5:30 in the morning from a sleepy daze on top of the banig my friend's house. such an early hour to wake in such a beautiful sleepy day. anyways we, together with my bf and my two other guy friends, were supposed to wake up before 5 am and we were supposed to be at the insular lobby to get instructions for the event of the day. The 4thTriathlon mayor's cup or something of that sort has already started and we were supposed to be the marshalls on the bike category. anyways, we forced ourselves to wake up and go to the place were we are to meet and get our instructions for the game. neglecting the frigid cold of the showers we walked our way out of bacaca, hailed a cab and eventually met with our other late groupmates. after the brief instructions and the jerseys ( which was more like the ones the TMC's wore with an orange fishnet and a yellow translucent whatever ) we went to our stations and waited for the players. the three of us ( me, brylle and sangay ) were stationed at petron in R. Castillo. it was quite motivating  because we had the right to stop vehicles from intruding into the biker's turning area. if they push their luck they would get arrested.  somehow we were given power to control other people's behavior.lols. anyways our job started when #104, a guy, came pelting into the turning  point we were assigned to man. he was the first player to arrive, which means that his partner finished the swimming category first; he finished the biking category first as well. bikers has to finish 3 laps, from the insular area to R. castillo. after 104 more bikers came.

there was this one biker, #08, she amazed and inspired me because she was the 12th biker (out of 100 ) to arrive in our turning point and she is a GIRL.  she beat almost 80+ guys.  anyways i cannto tell you much about the technical details of the games, i dont know much  since i dont care that much except for the jersey that they were supposed to give the marshalls.( which i havent got so far ) so after the game they had the awarding ceremony. *of course*. i found out that #08 was a recent champion of a habagat game and according to the announcer, people were amazed by her capabalities because she beat tough guys in the field and she emerged as one of the champions in a highly masculine sport. see, i really admire her for her prowess and her power. she truly deserve her win. of course i admire her more for her control and patience. it takes a lot to be able to fit in her shoes. takes a lot of patience, lots of waking up early to jog or run for a lot of km.s, lots of control on what food to eat, what activities to do and that stuff since you need to have lots of supplements for your physical practices. well i have tried joining an adventure race and also i have watched athletes practice and its not such a simple matter. in fact you have a lot of things to watch and be careful about. lest you compromise your health. important things in races such as these are the stamina, power, endurance and of course the rate of breathing ()hangin)or whatever term they put it. well i give ms #08 my elusive applause.

anyways i congratulate all the players for joining the game. see i cannot even join it because i know i cannot do what they do. i can only go there and be a marshal. someday though if time will allow it, i will join in races like that. as for now, i will be a marshall, an observer, a critic and a fan.

usok

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

Usok by asin is currently in the list of my favorite songs. ACtually i right now, i am having a hard time as to how i am going to introduce this topic in my blog. i dont know why it is so difficult for me to come up with a sentence or paragraph which can describe or depict the burning messages from my soul. *rolls eyes* here i go again. whenever i try to write something new or something interesting i lose my interest and i become eccentric. maybe i am having one of the first few symptoms of a developing psychopahtology. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, i love the song usok because of its strength and passion.

i am having a hard time finding the chords of usok by asin.

laaaaaaagggggggg. this is killing me.

i cant find the chords of usok by asin. will get back later when i find it.

The dream tree

Friday, December 7th, 2007

i always like small fonts. i dont know why. i just like to look at the cute little fonts. i think im a minimalist.

anyways, i would like to share another picture.. i saw this in a book and i would like to post it so that by the time i return this book, i will have this picture with me.

The Dream Tree by Daniel Nevins

"If the mind, which rules the body, ever forgets itself as to trample upon its slave, the slave is never generous enough to forgive the injury; but will rise and smite its oppressor."

Morpheus - was the god of dreams in Greek mythology. He was the son of Hypnos and Pasithea.

"King Sleep was father of a thousand sons -
indeed a tribe - and of them all, the one
he chose was Morpheus, who had such skill
in miming any human form at will.
No other Dream can match his artistry
in counterfeiting men: their voice, their gait,
their face - their moods; and, too, he imitates
their dress precisely and the words they use
most frequently. But he mimes only men…"

-Ovid's Metamorphoses

Ovid therefore suggests that Morpheus only sends images of humans in dreams or visions, while his brothers Phobetor and Phantasos are in charge of depicting dream images of animals and inanimate objects. Together these three sons of Sleep - Morpheus, Phobetor, and Phantasos - rule the realm of dreams.

TAROT

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

I just had a free tarot reading and here are the results.. i am actually quite ecstatic about the result because i think that it is a sign pushing me to do something and to work on the thing that i would really like most. well i know that the current circumstances and situations wouldnt allow me to pursue my chosen path, however i know that the future holds something for me. anyways here are the results if you care to read or whatever. i chose the Lovecraft tarot, you may have any tarot card of your own choosing.

The Three Fates spread is an exceptionally popular way to gain insight into the emerging arc of the past, present, and future. The Lovecraft Tarot is a tribute to the gothic writings of the visionary H.P. Lovecraft. It is the deck of choice for explorers of the macabre, and for posing questions that should never be asked.

The significator, is the card you have chosen to embody your presence and the focus of the reading. Nyarlathotep: Mastery over word, mind, and matter. The ability to turn ideas into actions, handle problems, and control one's life. The initiation of new projects, great works, or a new way of life. Eloquent and moving communication. Arcane and eldritch technologies.

INTERPRETATION:

Click for Details The left card represents an important element of the past. Knight of Tomes (The Ponape Scriptures), when reversed: The dark essence of fire, such as a great conflagration: One filled with vitality and limitless appetite. A sexy and exciting person, obsessed with style and outward appearance, overconfident in their abilities, and foolhardy in their actions. A hot temper and domineering nature, coupled with a love of false drama and all things theatrical. Anxiety over remaining in one place or with one person for too long. The rapid approach, or more likely departure, of someone or something that ruptures your world. Often suggests travel as the result of discord, or cruel indifference.
Click for Details The middle card represents a deciding element of the present. Seven of Artifacts (EOD Vestments), when reversed: Being trapped in a hopeless situation and unable to withdraw. A feat of daring that is too much for you to handle. Being caught in the middle of a desperate act of cunning or outright deception.
Click for Details The right card represents a critical element of the future. King of Tomes (The Black Book): The essence of fire behaving as air, such as lightning: A great and daring leader who inspires others to rise to challenges alongside him. An artist who can take hold of an idea and make it a reality through bold action. One who is forceful, charismatic, and honest, leading by example, but unafraid to invest authority in others. A dashing and magnetic personality, carrying authority naturally, and striking at the world with swiftness and grace.

Essor

" Beauty cannot disguise nor music melt

a pain undiagnosable but felt. "

-Anne Morrow Lindbergh, The Unicorn and Other Poems

This passage only entails the importance of assessment and diagnosis in health care services.  First let us define assessment - is the process of gathering and the possible causes of these symptoms people are suffering and the possible causes of these symptoms. In abnormal psychology, assessment and diagnosis is based largely on the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) criteria. The DSM-IV-TR uses a multiaxial diagnostic system.
