a pain undiagnosable but felt. "

This passage only entails the importance of assessment and diagnosis in health care services. First let us define assessment - is the process of gathering and the possible causes of these symptoms people are suffering and the possible causes of these symptoms. In abnormal psychology, assessment and diagnosis is based largely on the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) criteria. The DSM-IV-TR uses a multiaxial diagnostic system.
forgive my thoughts
..on the effects of social situation with regards to the performance of individuals. well i have gathered from our film viewing last last week that people improve their performance depending upon the situation they are in. in the film, individuals who wore uniforms and complete in their regala performed well in manipulated simulated activities compared to those individuals who didnt have their uniforms on.. well the point is that, people perform more whenever they are motivated by the social situation. such is the case in PBB. the housemates are in an artificial, simulated environment wherein they are being assessed and observed not only by one individual but by the whole nation. there is a tendency for the housemates to adapt a new character, one which can enable them to adapt to the situation, temporarily acquiring behaviors and attitudes which are manifestations of defense mechanisms to the anxiety producing reality of the following social pressures: of knowing that they will be scrutinized, judged and speculated upon by strangers, acommodating and integrating the presence of new rules which may be offensive to their own personal rights and performing unnecessary, increduluos, seemingly significant, and dreadfully meaningless tasks. i know that at this point i am deviating from the topic. forgive me but i just have to post my comments and criticisms of one of my favorite shows PBB. it isa good reality show because it allows us to see how people can be artificial and real at the same time. anyhow, the simulated environment has a psychological effect on every housemate, each housemate contribute to the development of the living atmosphere inside the house. their is a high probability of developing intense emotions because of the limited and constricted perspective brought about by the enclosed environment. They are virtually isolated from society. What they have in the house is what they will ever get. Therefore emotions and feelings tend to increase in its intensity as the number of individuals in their enviornment decreases. whenever someone goes out, they lose a big part of their society, which gradually increases the use of psychological defense mechanisms to isolation, loneliness and despair.
well thats about it.
See the beauty of the bees
how nice would it be to write in a notepad with a color of your own choosing and a font you can download.. how nice would it be to be able to manipulate the settings so i could turn the background pastel green or pink.. how inspiring, how fresh and new. if only i knew what the computer techies know about html and stuff. for sure i would be enjoying and utilizing the optimum potential of this box infront of me. instead i am here in front of a white blackboardish type of screen or 'whatchamacallit' and typing my woes away.
now, i can remember my teacher in social psychology telling the class that the "quantity" and "quality" of one's words/jargon/vocabulary is a manifestation of our intellectual capacity. i see the point now. i recognize that i am limited to my own jargon, my own vocabulary which limits my capacity to interpret stimulus and expereinces in ways such as having difficulty finding the right word or having a hard time describing inner thoughts and ideas into concrete terms. Having a good command of the english language is characteristic of all the greatest writers on earth like freud, neitzsche, Lord byron and all other writers of the olden times. My favorite storyteller is Homer, he has inextricably woven a world of fantasy and mythology in the inner chambers of my heart. or that sort of thing.
anyways, i am thinking of blogging data about pathopshysiology of certain neurological disorders. maybe doing research about the disorders would help supplement the lessons that i have in abnormal psychology. if you came across this page and read this particular line and you wish to have help on the pathopyshiology of a disorder, i would very much appreciate it if you would allow me to help.=). see, i like it when i learn new things.
things that i have observed/felt/though this day:
1. a davao city radio announcer or radio dj , talks like a high school stud. i wish there were more highly educated, crtical and accurate vj's so that people who listen to the radio would gain new words, knowledge, terms or ideas. the media has a significant impact on the lives of the filipino masses. as i have observed, most of the less educated listen to the radio. would it be so hard for a vj to at least impart knowledge and explain things in an unbiased way. it has been noted that most dj's do give their reactions and reflections to various issues presented by listeners, and this is good, however their is a tendency that the ideas of the dj's are deemed to be correct because it is presented and manipulated in such a way as to devalue the opinion of others. so i think that it is okay to comment on a particular issue so long as the advocacy of a particular point of view is limited to the boundaries of freedom and choice. dont force the person to think the way you do. please lang. dj ka lang. hehehe.
2. i just want to tell my groupmate this: SHUT UP. she talks like she knows what she's talking about. i cannot believe how poor the quality of education has become. even i have been affected. i have observed that most students from 1st year to 2nd year and sadly even the 3rd year and 4th year studs in the tertiary level cannot follow simple instructions well, cannot accurately define or describe their ideas because of poor vocabulary, cannot compose an argumentative or persuasive essay nor an effective analysis or reflection due to mediocrity of basic english skills. Ask the college english teachers, even the bio teachers and the psychology educators they will tell you how drastic the quality of education has become. i think it is the job of the educators to understand the changes in the environment and it is already implied that adaptation to the changing times and integration of new teaching methods and skills should be done to elevate the standards of education and most importantly to become the best of what you chose to be. it is sad to note that there are only a few good and effective teachers left. this is my 4th year in ateneo davao and i have met only a handful of effective teachers in all my years in the academy. Some of the teachers i had, had poor grammar, cannot articulate well, has the wrong ideas and such stuff. most of them are young teachers and some of them teach minor subjects. however i have been to a course wherein no intellectual growth occurs. no less than 5 teachers or instructors are effective in their teaching methods in my previous course. most of them are good in memorization and integration of data. no higher level of understanding of profane but highly affective phenomenon or situations.
alright. so this is it as for now.
