SWITCH OFF YOUR LIGHTS

BE A GOOD HUMAN ELEMENTAL FOR EARTH

7:08 - Davao City, Philippines has prepared itself for the international movement to save Mother Earth. Here in my little corner in Davao City, I bought candles to prepare my household for the Earth Hour which is at 8:30 - 9:30 pm this very day.

 

Earth Hour indicates the hour wherein a target number of 1 billion votes will be raised from people all over the globe as a sign that they choose to save Mother Earth and are active and willing participants to fight global warming.

 

If you switch of your light for one Hour during the Earth Hour this means that your household votes for Earth, while switching them on indicates your vote for global warming

 

The votes will be presented by the WWF organization to the Conference for Global Climate Change in Copenhagen. The Kyoto Protocol on global warming will expire on 2012 and the Conference in Copenhagen will invole world leaders and government representatives of many countries and nations to renew the agreement on saving our Earth against global warming.

 Earth Hour is a time for all of us humans to truly join together and become part of each other in this endeavor to save the source of our life - Mother Earth. Vote Earth, vote for yourself and your future. Global climate change is the dark cloud that hovers above the Earth which may be attributable to the economic depression and other grievances that people suffer here on Earth. Too many lives has been wasted by unusual changes in weather patterns resulting into flashfloods, earthquakes, storms, droughts, rise in sea level, tsunamis, sand storms, hurricanes, soil erosions and other natural calamties. Global warming is a manifestation of a Sick Earth. The Earth is having a very high fever because it has become polluted and full of viruses and germs which is slowly eating away its vitality. Let us not be the parasites of these Earth, instead let us be the first line of defenses for Her and save Her from the slow death that she is suffering. We still have a chance and let us show our involvement and love for Mother Earth by switching of our lights this Earth Hour.

 

May the Glory of the Earth be restored miraculously and may it begin today and at the Hour of the Earth. May it begin with us and continue to our children and our children’s children. I vote for Earth and I vote now.

Today I am afflicted by the Lazy daisy Spell. Ive spent more than 8 hours of my day sleeping, resting, relaxing and being Morpheus’ slave. Lesson for this day: Choose to be productive. Instead of being a sleepy head, be a green head and think of green beautiful and active things. Life is amazing and marvelous. Resources are limited and that’s were the problem really begins. There is too much in life to enjoy and yet too many human rules and regulations restrict people from enjoying the privileges of living. Everything is taxable and so people must first work and toil hard to enjoy even the simple privilege of eating healthy foods. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Let us wish away poverty and welcome prosperity. How? Together let us ask the divine for guidance and blessing as we find our way to prosperity and longevity. Thats it for now. Will discuss later about the earth hour activity tomorrow and how my own household and other establishments in Davao City make preparations for these wordlwide activity. Let us join together and VOTE EARTH.

Summer Travelling Fun Fun FUN

Yes its summer 2009! Get packed and ready to go right now!. ASAP!. Yes, Yes the global recession is affecting all of us but please!. We only have this one summer 2009 in our entire lifetime here on planet earth. I think its best if we do something very special and very significant as a sign that we have celebrated the coming of these wonderful season of sun and sand and nature!. 

Simple travel suggestions would be:

1. Take out your family and have a nice and relaxing lunch or dinner at the beach

2. Go on an overnight trip with your loved one at a private beach and catch crabs for both of you to eat later when the magnificent nighttime sky blankets you with love and stars!. 

3. Go out there and climb the mountains, Go to Mount Apo, Hike at Mt. Hibukhibok or go to ziplines and have some refreshing experience with mother Earth.

4. Catch the Full moon on hilltops, on top of buildings, near the airlines, in the beach or better yet on top of a mountain!.

5. GO OUT, GET AWAY, EXPERIENCE THE FRESHNESS AND HEALING POWERS OF NATURE!.

 

Summer is the best time for you to take at least half day or even two months break from the corporate and urban world. Recharge your body, mind and soul. Go to Surigao beaches, Mindanao mountains(but dont go too far), Philippine tourist spots and enjoy the cultural heritage of the inhabitants of the Philippines. Remember wherever you go, be accountable for your own garabage. Take care of nature because it is your source of good life.
