An Essay by Einstein
“How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he sometimes thinks he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people — first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving…
It is indeed strange to grace in this world with no known purpose and try to live and gear your magically given life towards a certain direction. Tis strange and glorious to be given the honor of living a human life, of becoming a mortal with free will. Each of us have been gifted with our physical bodies so we could live a human life. Aah Human Life, a gift and a curse, free will determines the direction of your gift. Life is a gift when lived well, geared towards good situations and conditions, respected and truly loved. Life is a curse when it is taken for granted, abused and wasted. Each of us here is for a brief sojourn, so let us live our lives well. And how could we do that? by finding our purpose. But what is it exactly we are here for? That in myself I would like to know. There are instances, when Im surrounded by the beauty of nature and in a contemplative mood, I seem to catch a glimpse of the wondrous image of my purpose. Those instances I remember feeling very strong and confident for I am enlightened by my purpose. What it is, as of now I cannot recall but I can remember the feeling. Strange it really is. I have to find it yet again. You will know it because the Divine will tell you what it is and what it is is surely good and just for you to do. No one else can do what you can because you are unique. We are unique. We in ourselves and in our physical bodies are manifestations of the Divine. Every inch of our being is part of the Great Divine, we are Hers and she is Ours. We can therefore choose to activate the inner Divine that is in us and has always been part of us. We can change our strained lives and live it happily and fully whilst we still have that time for a brief sojourn in this magical heavenly planetary body we call earth.
The World as I See it. This is the title of the article I came across in the web. This is one of the articles written by Albert Einstein. This article reflects his philosophy about life and the things that he lives for. This is a very motivating read and recommended for those who are trying to make sense of life and trying to touch the questions of the inner transcendental self. Have a good read and Godbless to our sojourn!.

Today’s Horoscope For Libra:
If you’ve taken on more than you can chew with a study or work schedule, make sure you sort something out with someone in charge today. What you set out to do with a partner or friend could turn out to be the complete opposite to what you end up doing.
Power Numbers: 25, 14, 32, 49, 7, 12 Born Today: Hans Christian Andersen, Emile Zola, Buddy Ebsen, Alec Guinness, Marvin Gaye, Emmylou Harris |
Today’s Lovescope For Libra:
Your desires and romantic urges are very strong now. In all of your relationships, whether romantic or not, you feel quite warm and affectionate. You are less competitive, more interested in pleasing others, and creating harmony. Just don’t let anyone take advantage of you unless you really want to.
General Information About Libra:
Libra is an astrological sign, which is associated with the constellation Libra, in the Southern Hemisphere near Scorpius and Virgo. Under the tropical zodiac, Libra is occupied by the Sun from September 23 to October 22, and under the sidereal zodiac, it ends on November 15. Libra, (The Scales of Balance), is the only symbol of the zodiac that is inanimate (it is not represented by an animal or person). The sign opposite of Libra is Aries.
The corresponding month in the Babylonian calendar is Tišritum, dedicated to Shamash (the Sun).
Mythology:
In mythology Libra is often associated with the Greek Goddess of Justice, Themis, the Greek mythological figure of Atalanta (meaning balanced), and Astraea (daughter of Themis), who ascended to heaven and became the constellation of Virgo, and carried the scales of justice, the nearby constellation of Libra.
Libra is also associated with the Greco—Roman goddess Aphrodite/Venus and sometimes also the goddesses Eris/Discordia, along with Hermione/Concordia, Hera/Juno, Ishtar, Freyja and Frigg, and the god Xolotl.
In astrology Libra is ruled by the planet Venus. The Indian equivalent of Libra is Tula, the Chinese equivalent is the Dog.
Many modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons.
Characteristics:
Individuals born under this sign are thought by practitioners of astrology to have a pleasant, clever, articulate, charismatic, outgoing, fair, artistic, social, refined, diplomatic, even—tempered and self—sufficient character. The Libra person is said to be co—operative, sees both sides, open—minded, just, urbane, partnership oriented, avoids conflict, balanced, graceful, idealistic, and egalitarian. They can sometimes also rationalize, be easily deterred, indecisive and lazy, and are also thought to be flirtatious, extravagant, frivolous, impatient, envious, aloof, and quarrelsome.
Relationships:
Astrology claims that in love the Libra person has achieved something of their ideal, and though they may recognize even the smallest failing in their loved one they are afraid to argue over it for fear of ‘disturbing the balance’. They are usually romantic and sentimental, but there is also the shallow flirtatious type. Frequently relationships are a ‘marriage of minds’ rather than ‘an earthy mating of the sexs’.
Compatibility:
Best Compatibility: Gemini, Aquarius, Leo, Sagittarius, Aries
Possible Compatibility: Taurus, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio
Opposite Compatibility: Pisces, Cancer, Capricorn
Occupation:
Suitable occupations are said to be those where human relationships and a harmonious environment are important; such as artist, poet, diplomat, teacher, social worker, cosmos/space industry, politician, police officer, software engineer, cattle herder (cowboy), and musician.
Body and Health:
Physically, individuals born under the sign of Libra supposedly tend to have a graceful figure; charming appearance; a roundish head; small and refined features; a high forehead; and a ‘trademark’ dimple.
A subject born within the First Decan (September 23 to October 2… also known as the Libra Decante of Libra), may be better looking than the average Libra individual, with a general demeanor and approach to most matters that is essentially calm, easy and cool. Often tall to very tall in height, these natives have a fairly robust frame. There is sometimes a rather peculiar almond shape to the eyes here with lids that droop in the corners and brows that are short and curved. The face is normally quite round and plumpness or obesity may be somewhat common. These are neat souls with good taste who are particularly careful of personal grooming and work very hard to look their best at all times.
A subject born within the Second Decan (October 3 to October 12… also known as the Aquarius Decante of Libra), is inclinded to possess the slim build and straight nose associated with those who fall under the jurisdiction of Aquarius. Here, the body type is normally medium to tall.
A subject born within the Third Decan (October 13 to October 22… also known as the Gemini Decante of Libra), is likely to look much younger than his or her actual years. This native is generally slim, being short to medium in terms of height. In addition, a slightly aquiline nose is very common. It is not easy for this native to get his or her point across when speaking without the aid of hand and/or arm gestures, which are used profusely in a natural manner.
In medical astrology and terms of anatomy, Libra is popularly said to rule the excretory functions via the kidneys, skin, lumbar region, buttocks, adrenals and vasomotor system, and lumbar vertebrae.
Perhaps the most typical Libra characteristic is the “Dimple of Venus.” Natives of this Sign will often have a couple on the cheeks or one on the chin. If not apparent in the face, then such dimples may be found in the knees or even the elbows. On occasion, the dimples do not appear until the Libra individual smiles and then, this trademark comes shining through. Indeed, the smile of these natives is said to melt even the coldest of hearts or brighten the most melancholy of moods. This is a smile that wrinkles the corners of the ears and proliferates the irresistible Libra message of peace, love and beauty.

Bottled Oxygen Today, Bottled Tropical Havana Tomorrow!.
I was watching ABS-CBN news when I learned about the commercial bottled oxygen in Manila. The concept of the product was about giving the body a boost of oxygen thereby relieving stress from the body. The oxygen inside the bottle is the same as in oxygen tanks in hospitals. 95% oxygen is processed and packed in blue bottles complete with a mask to ensure you get the full blast of fresh air.
Now i think this is ingenuous but earth-wise i think this is gravely alarming. Bottled oxygen merely indicates that there is not enough good and clean air for aerobic organisms to thrive healthily and sustainably.
Oxygen by Elifkarakoc
Oxygen is needed by the body to function. It is inhaled from the air which is composed of roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and 1% water vapor and other particulate matter such as carbon, methan, sulphur, & CFC’s which are particularly harmful to the body. Polluted air gradually lowers the bodys ability to defend itself from the environment. As less more pollutants and less oxygen is found in the air of urban and congested cities and nations, more and more people will suffer from respiratory problems and other complications. Now that is the 1st scenario.

The second scenarion is that, a polluted atmosphere or environment would indicite high level emission of greenhouse gases. Now these greenhouse gases already exist in the atmosphere and are responsible for the heating the earth to sustain life. Greenhouse gases trap the sun’s heat and when the level of greenhouse gases increase there will be more of the sun’s heat to be trapped on earth. We will now be suffering extreme heat temperatures which we havent suffered to this extent before. More cases of heat stroke and skin cancers have been documented. My point is, the Earth is sick and we need to do our best to help save Her. We can do something right now and right away simply by changing the way we live. Live sustainably, dont burn plastic materials, buy from stores with biodegradable plastics and support environmental groups. There are lots of things you can do to help save the world. This time the plea for action and individual responsibility is serious and REAL. WE ARE SUFFERING AS PART OF THE SUFFERING OF MOTHER EARTH.
LET US HEAL HER, LET US HELP OURSELVES, LET US DO IT NOW.
The best time to start any endeavor is NOW so check out this page: Footprint Calculator and see learn what you can do to tread more lightly on earth.
