An Essay by Einstein

“How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he sometimes thinks he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people — first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving…

It is indeed strange to grace in this world with no known purpose and try to live and gear your magically given life towards a certain direction. Tis strange and glorious to be given the honor of living a human life, of becoming a mortal with free will. Each of us have been gifted with our physical bodies so we could live a human life. Aah Human Life, a gift and a curse, free will determines the direction of your gift. Life is a gift when lived well, geared towards good situations and conditions, respected and truly loved. Life is a curse when it is taken for granted, abused and wasted. Each of us here is for a brief sojourn, so let us live our lives well. And how could we do that? by finding our purpose. But what is it exactly we are here forThat in myself I would like to know. There are instances, when Im surrounded by the beauty of nature and in a contemplative mood, I seem to catch a glimpse of the wondrous image of my purpose. Those instances I remember feeling very strong and confident for I am enlightened by my purpose. What it is, as of now I cannot recall but I can remember the feeling. Strange it really is. I have to find it yet again. You will know it because the Divine will tell you what it is and what it is is surely good and just for you to do. No one else can do what you can because you are unique. We are unique. We in ourselves and in our physical bodies are manifestations of the Divine. Every inch of our being is part of the Great Divine, we are Hers and she is Ours. We can therefore choose to activate the inner Divine that is in us and has always been part of us. We can change our strained lives and live it happily and fully whilst we still have that time for a brief sojourn in this magical heavenly planetary body we call earth.

The World as I See it. This is the title of the article I came across in the web. This is one of the articles written by Albert Einstein. This article reflects his philosophy about life and the things that he lives for. This is a very motivating read and recommended for those who are trying to make sense of life and trying to touch the questions of the inner transcendental self. Have a good read and Godbless to our sojourn!.
