when the forces of the universe conspire..

haha. its so funny!. i keep on thinking and meaning to post something new in my blog and yet i cannot find any topic to talk about so im gonna be boringly ranting and rambling about stupid thoughts coming into my mind. yeah. right. where do i start?. ok so here i was downloading photoshop cs, waiting in vain for it to finish downloading. *damn the net connection!.* after a while i got hopeful and 'physically wishing' it to finish now. right now. hahaha. and then i go about thinking and planning about the pictures to edit in the new photoshop cs, the things to explore, the jpegs and the gifs to create and lots of other exciting things. only to find out that the thing effin doesnt even work. i waited that long for nothing. hahah. no biggie my assparagus.now i have to look for another version that works and wait to find out if it really does.

The moral of the story is "if you want something your gonna have to risk something" haha. i didnt know i could be able to invent a quote. anyways i think that because i am risking my time and effort on something infers that i, in my nature, am hopeful and faithful. my faith on something is powerful and strong to invoke me to accept the challenges and take risks. it has brought me courage and boldness to face the great unknown and hope which has become the impetus of journeying through life.

 whew!. what a rationalization. in technical terms, i am saying those things because i want others to look at me in a bright light, to approve and accept my behavior. in fact, those things do not truly justify my actions. for them mountain climbing is a very risky hobby. you wouldnt know what you will encounter or in what form you will end up. when you climb or trek or go caving its risky because of a few reasons most traditional people think :

1. most of the mountains and other natural wonders are located in far-flung areas. the greenworld as they say. you go from the city to provinces to barrios to puroks to sitios and then the gap between the houses are a mountain apart. your so far from home and out of contact. parents go crazy when they dont hear from you if you are this far away.

2. these mountainous areas are home to our renegade brothers. mga kapatid nating namumugot ng ulo. we wouldnt know the chances or the circumstances, once we go in places like this, it is already implied that one cannot necessarily go back to where he came from. forces of the universe may conspire to your exit in the world and you go bye bye boy, hello mountain earth!.

3. in the mountains we may meet our belligerent dogmatic barbarian tribal brother. *( tsk tsk. very discriminating. pardon my shadow, it cannot be told*. His predispostion cannot be swayed. Strangers in his land, a bigoted resolve and attack he does. In short someone mountain people may attack us for tresspassing in their area. so there we go. straight to the other world in a very muddy and bloody path.

3. aside from man-induced threat or danger, we also have our natural forces. the forces of the universe kung baga. we are entering a world dominated by the natural law of order. the world without science or organization, no morality or ethics exist. survival is the name of the game. there are no rules here. so basically anything can happen. you may cross a snake's path and off you go. or you may lose your footing and fly from view, fall from a cliff or tumble gleefully down down down until there is only up. a tree may fall unexpectedly and plant you there for life, or landslides may cover you from the hell and back. so basically, if the forces of the universe conspire against you, this is the mission impossible for you. and the mission is to survive. remember this is no 'lights,camera,action thingie', ultimately the MISSION is IMPOSSIBLE. ok i know i sound exaggerated and optimistic but it would really happen if and only if, the forces of the universe will conspire against you.

4. The peak is called the peak because it is the highest point of an area. so when you reach the peak, you cannot go haha all the way because if the forces of the universe conspire against you, better say your prayers and greet the coldest, hypothermic night you will ever encounter. better be equipped with a high quality tent, equally good jackets, inners, trekpants, socks, headgears or something to cover you all the way up.

5. someone may not be handling the food properly ; coupled with the forces of the universe conspiring against you, alas!. food poisoning. be kind to the earth, dont preach to it to much, it might get converted.

so those may be some of the reasons why it is truly risky and dangerous to get indulged in these sort of extreme hobbies. but i tell you, the magnitude of the risk is equivalent to the satisfaction and transcendental value of the experience. its really amazing to be on top and seeing the world in a cloud view.
